Este libro demuestra que, a pesar de las muchas interpretaciones sobre la Reconquista que se han realizado, hay cabida todavía para agudas e incisivas perspectivas como las que Pio Moa nos ofrece en este documentado ensayo. Su lectura debería ser obligatoria en las escuelas, a pesar de sus quinientas y pico páginas, es un libro que se lee con gran facilidad, muy bien escrito, con un lenguaje muy comprensible y ameno, haciendo que su lectura sea adictiva. Perfectamente estructurado con contenidos precisos y muy reveladores de lo que fue la reconquista, poniéndola también en el contexto con el resto de Europa y el Islam. Es de una inestimable ayuda para comprender y desmontar falsedades históricas que por desgracia hoy son tan frecuentes. Mi más sincera enhorabuena al autor. Queda demostrado con este libro que D. Pío es un gran historiador y no hay tema que se le resista.
