Me gustó el anterior libro del autor (Sapiens) lo suficiente para estar intrigado por este título. ¿Sería capaz Yuval Noah de aportar la misma visión refrescante a unas predicciones sobre la evolución de la humanidad? Lamentablemente la respuesta es: no. Es un libro que se le atraganta a uno. Con muchas ideas repetidas y en un claro intento de repetir el éxito anterior. Alguna reflexión destaca pero es muy inferior a su antecesor Sapiens

Se puede estar de acuerdo o no con las conjeturas y especulación a futuro expuesta, pero de una u otra manera, resulta interesante. Se puede aducir que la individualidad subsiste porque el algoritmo de cada persona, aunque sean meras reacciones químicas, es diferente en cada uno. Otro tanto puede decirse en contra del determinismo y la falta de libre albedrío que expone, porque si, todo es algoritmo, pero el algoritmo maneja tal cantidad de variables, infinitas, que al final el resultado es el que es, inesperado o distinto. Tener un algoritmo perfecto que maneje las infinitas variables y a partir de ellas diga que es lo que va a ocurrir en el momento siguiente , ¿no es precisamente, como en cuántica, la mejor manera de hacer que no suceda, o suceda y no al mismo tiempo? Y ¿que decir del datismo? Si al final esa cantidad de información la manejan las máquinas para determinar nuestro comportamiento y nos hacen desaparecer, ¿no se quedan sin alimentación y mueren también esas inteligencias artificiales? Pero insisto, como el propio autor dice, es una forma de exponer ideas especulativas, y esto lo hace bien, aunque luego salga en el futuro lo que salga...
