Por desgracia, su suicidio en 1944 ?ordenado por Hitler? le impidió escribir una obra que tenía proyectada para explicar su experiencia durante la contienda. Pero, en cambio, de sus andanzas durante la Primera Guerra Mundial sí contamos con una obra escrita por él: la presente La Infantería al ataque, publicada por primera vez en español. Muy recomendable.La historia siempre ha juzgado a Rommel como un militar nazi más, cuando simplemente fue un militar profesional, todo un genio y un caballero. Sus andanzas por la I GM son fascinantes y se cuentan por él en este libro con todo detalle, Me ha sorprendido gratamente su capacidad narrativa.Si tengo que criticar algo, tal vez lo haría de los gráficos que se muestran en el libro. Muchas veces, cuesta entenderlos.100% recomenable para aquellos que disfrutan de la historia militar.

Como jefe de una compañía explica muy bien las tácticas que sigue al frente de sus hombres, las decisiones que toma ante las alternativas posibles y analiza aciertos y fallos. Resulta un militar de gran valor e iniciativa.Pero me ha resultado un poco monótono, pues las situaciones son parecidas.Recomendable para quien le interese la táctica militar.
